Connecting Links program to distribute $30 million in road and bridge funding across Ontario

April 21, 2023, TORONTO – As part of the province’s Connecting Links program, the Ontario government is providing $30 million in support of municipal road and bridge repairs across 21 municipalities in an effort to support the growth of jobs, the movement of goods, and municipal economies.

The Connecting Links program funds up to 90 per cent of eligible project costs, including a maximum of $3 million for road projects and $5 million for bridges. Initiatives eligible to be covered through this program include the design, construction, renewal, rehabilitation, and replacement of municipal roads or bridges that run through communities or connect to provincial highways.

Applications for the 2024-2025 Connecting Links program will open for eligible municipalities later this year.
